Congratulations to our ASFA students for their participation in the 2026 French Convention! These students represented ASFA exceptionally and achieved outstanding results.

The American Association of Teachers of French (Alabama Chapter) awards annual scholarships to students who excel in French, and we are proud to say that one of this year’s recipients is an ASFA student. Congratulations to Isabelle Shemwell for earning a $500 scholarship!

Isabelle wrote an essay on the influence of music in people’s lives and was interviewed by a French college professor. She received a “ Mention Supérieure”.

In addition to participating in several competitions, our students had the opportunity to meet native speakers from various parts of the Francophone world, including Mali, Senegal, Niger, and Cameroon. They also learned more about study abroad opportunities.
